Outside you get the opportunity to see several different types of aircraft and vehicles. However you still get a good picture of what it was like in Vietnam, as well as see items dedicated to a war that is often overlooked at other museums. The museum itself is small, and the artifacts are not necessarily arranged in an orderly manner you would find in larger, more well known museums. There is also a room where they had a video showing a movie about the war. In the center of the museum is a model that provides a very detailed look of a fire base. Inside the museum some of the items you will see: Handguns used by both sides, wooden arrows, "Ho Chi Minh" sandals, uniforms and equipment from both sides. When I was finished inside I again was greeted my a volunteer who informed me of what to see outside. I was then able to tour the museum at my leisure. One of the volunteers greeted me outside and led me inside and provided a synopsis of what to see and offered a small history of the war and the artifacts located inside the museum. I would recommend going inside the museum first. I would like to see it more often as attendance would likely increase. One thing to keep in mind is they are only open on weekends from 1200 to 1700. There is no charge to enter, however donations are greatly appreciated. There is parking available just prior to entering the museum grounds.
Both GPS and several road signs will lead you directly to the museum. You can find the museum in Orlando near the University of Central Florida campus.
